Role Profile

We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Branch Assistant (Yard Operations) in our Ballytore Branch, Co. Kildare. This role offers a minimum of 3 days per week, with additional hours that may be available based on business requirements. This role is primarily based in the branch yard and warehouse areas and involves assisting customers, handling stock, loading and unloading products, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring the yard operates safely and efficiently. While the successful candidate will work mainly in the yard environment, all employees may be required to support retail operations when business needs require.

Responsibilities

Yard & Stock Operations

• Receive, check and store incoming stock, load and unload products safely and efficiently and prepare customer collections and deliveries.
• Maintain stock accuracy and ensure a clean and organised yard environment.
• Ensure fertiliser, feed, fuel and hardware stock is stored correctly.
• Assist customers collecting products from the yard and retail area.
• Build strong relationships with customers through strong customer service and advice.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in accordance with training.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Keen interest in Agri sector.
• Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely.
• A friendly outgoing personality, excellent customer service skills and ambition to deliver beyond customers’ expectation.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Ability to multitask and to consistently deliver high standard quality work in a busy environment.
• Strong awareness of health and safety.
• I.T Skills are also required.

Desired Skills

• A person with an agricultural or farming background is desirable.
• A forklift/loader licence is desirable.
