Role Profile

The Milk Centre of Excellence is responsible for managing all aspects of payments to our 4,500 milk suppliers, along with various reporting requirements relating to milk payments, delivery of all innovative supplier payment initiatives and invoicing for all liquid by-products.  A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Manager within the team.

Based in Abbey Quarter, Kilkenny, this role reports to the Senior Finance Manager. This role will be responsible for managing the milk payments team whose responsibilities include supplier milk payments on a bi-monthly basis, various supplier deductions from their milk payments and updating supplier master data.

 

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and on-time payments to milk suppliers on a bi-monthly basis
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintain on the Blackline portal
  • Review and posting of journals
  • Posting of intercompany recharges for milk usage to business units
  • Primary point of contact with External Auditors in relation to the coordination of interim and year-end audit
  • Ensure accurate provision of information to key stakeholders groups including business units, Taxation, Secretariat, Shared Services/IT and external bodies
  • Support management in executing ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Manage and mentor the Milk CoE payments team to ensure they are competent and equipped to perform their roles effectively
  • Act as the key reviewer and approver of daily, weekly & monthly team outputs.
  • Assist with driving process improvements to streamline process & reporting and enhance efficiencies

 

Requirements

  • Qualified Professional Accountant desirable
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in leading teams preferable
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in SAP desirable
