Role Profile:

The Agri Transport Planner will report to the Agri Transport Manager. You will be responsible for creating optimal transport plans servicing the requirements laid out by the Supply chain planning function in relation to inter site movements, and route to market on the Island of Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with hauliers to ensure product is delivered on time and in full.
• Maintain and develop a high standard of service and relationships in the most cost effective and operationally efficient manner.
• Managing invoicing and ad- hoc queries that occur daily.
• Ability to mediate disputes between two parties, impartially to a successful conclusion.
• Work closely with the, Logistics & planning team and key stakeholders constantly striving to develop and improve the collection, delivery and planning processes, cost and systems.
• Measure, analyse and report key process metrics, and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyse data to drive insights to inform decision making across key stakeholder groups
• Identify and implement process improvements to maximize levels of efficiency. Contribute to implementation of both business sustaining and strategic projects
• Ensure all documentation and administration is completed to the highest standard.

Key Requirements:

• Supply Chain or Transport/ Production planning experience
• Third level qualification in a relevant area such as Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Enthusiastic and energetic attitude.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities.
• Good knowledge of IT Systems SAP, Ortec, Millwheel, Excel, SAC with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
