Role Profile:

The Fertiliser & Grain Planner will report to the Agri Transport Manager while also supporting the Ingredients Production Planning Manager. You will be responsible for creating optimal transport plans servicing the requirements laid out by the Supply chain planning function in relation to inter site movements, and route to market on the Island of Ireland. You will be responsible for organising production schedules for the Oats mill to supply customer demand without incurring waste or impeding commercial or operational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with purchasing, external vendors and hauliers to ensure product is delivered on time and in full.
  • Maintain and develop a high standard of service and relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best service provided to customers
  • Coordinating transport for harvest movements between farm, branch and drying locations.
  • Managing offline invoicing and ad-hoc queries that occur daily.
  • Cross training on other transport networks to provide support during peak periods of the year similar to other roles in the team
  • Work closely with the, Logistics & planning team and key stakeholders constantly striving to develop and improve the collection, delivery and planning processes, cost and systems.
  • Measure, analyse and report key process metrics, and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyse data to drive insights to inform decision making across key stakeholder groups
  • Identify and implement process improvements to maximize levels of efficiency. Contribute to implementation of both business sustaining and strategic projects
  • Ensure all documentation and administration is completed to the highest standard.
  • Develop production plans at SKU-level and make adjustments to account for variances in demand, stock, machine performance, yield and availability of materials/labour/transport. Balance competing demands from Operations teams and make adjustments to optimise utilisation of resources.
  • Liaise with TPMs to manage orders and ensure production is completed to meet customer requirements
  • Play a key role in the S&OP process
  • Provide input and analysis into the forecast to ensure alignment between forecast and plant capacity and production plan.
  • Be an effective agent in the 3M process, striving to implement and learn GPS tools where appropriate to enhance the services and processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to maximize levels of efficiency. Contribute to implementation of both business sustaining and strategic projects.

 

 

Key Requirements:

  • Supply Chain or Transport/ Production planning experience
  • Third level qualification in a relevant area such as Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and energetic attitude.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities.
  • Good knowledge of IT Systems SAP, Ortec, Millwheel, Excel, SAC with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
