Role Profile

Reporting to the SAP Basis & DBA Specialist, the SAP Basis Senior Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security and performance of Tirlán’s SAP landscape. You'll provide hands-on technical expertise across SAP and Oracle environments, supporting business-critical systems while contributing to ongoing transformation and improvement initiatives.

Working closely with internal teams, managed service providers and technology partners, you'll be responsible for system monitoring, incident resolution, upgrades, patching, change delivery and operational excellence across a modern SAP ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day SAP Basis administration and technical support across Tirlán's SAP landscape, including S/4HANA, BW, GRC, IDM, SAP BTP, SAP Web Dispatcher and related technologies.
• Partner with managed service providers and vendors to deliver incident resolution, service requests, system changes and maintenance activities.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, interfaces, transports, background jobs and connectivity to ensure a reliable and efficient SAP environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with infrastructure, security, application and vendor teams as required.
• Deliver SAP Basis operational activities including system refreshes, client administration, transport management, profile maintenance and housekeeping.
• Support SAP upgrades, kernel updates, patching and release management activities.
• Contribute to SAP security and access management, including certificates, SSO/SNC and connectivity configurations.
• Support SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services and connectivity solutions.
• Assist with Oracle database administration activities, including monitoring, performance analysis, patching and change management.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery and high-availability processes across SAP and database environments.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and support knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, change management, audit and operational control standards.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years' experience in SAP Basis Administration supporting complex, enterprise-scale SAP environments.
• Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning and operational support.
• Experience supporting SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, BW, CPI, NetWeaver and related platforms.
• Solid understanding of SAP architecture, transport management, interfaces, certificates, connectivity and integration concepts.
• Experience supporting Oracle databases, including monitoring, patching, performance analysis and database administration activities.
• Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud connectivity services.
• Knowledge of HANA database administration would be a distinct advantage.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change and release management processes.
• Understanding of backup, recovery, disaster recovery and high-availability concepts within SAP environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues across application, database, infrastructure and integration layers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders
