Supply Chain Junior Buyer/Planner
Role Summary
Kilkenny Cheese is a joint venture between Tirlan and Dutch family business Royal A-ware, a 130-year-old company with strong positions in EU and global markets. The facility has started up in 2024 as a greenfield site at Belview, Co Kilkenny.

In recent years investments have been made in the development and management of own supply chains resulting in independence, efficiency, and flexibility. We are specialized in producing, ripening, cutting, and packaging cheese, and also produce and package cream and fresh dairy products.
Based in Belview in South Kilkenny, this role reports to the Supply Chain Manager
Responsibilities
- Work with Office Lead to maintain the 18-month rolling demand forecast for customers, making sure that all files are up to date.
- Monitor and updating daily KPI’s (Tier 2 & Tier 3).
- Working with the Supply Chain Team to develop and maintain continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach.
- Carry out the daily administrative tasks on the ERP system (M3), making sure that all transactions are being carried out in a timely manner (PO’s, Inventory adjustments, issues material to M/O’s, adjusting MO’s and Sales Orders.
- Carrying out daily administrative Supply Chain Tasks ie. Creation of Purchase Orders, call off orders, maintaining key excel files, and any other duties as determined by the Office Lead/Supply Chain Manager.
- Manage the administration of files and keeping them up to date showing key metrics around current forecasts, plans and actual.
- Manage a number of suppliers internal tasks to support the running of the factory (MLSC, Ellis Garments etc.)
- Attending Tiered meetings, gathering relevant information and reporting back to the Supply Chain team of actions that need to be carried out by Supply Chain Department.
- Attending weekly and monthly Supply Chain meetings.
- Carry out daily and weekly reviews of safety stock targets per product, making sure that the agreed min/max levels are being maintained at all times.
- Maintain weekly stock reports vs. plan and working with the supply chain team to generate action plans to address imbalances.
- Monitor and maintain the service level KPI’s for the Supply Chain function and presenting to the supply chain team at the daily and weekly SC meetings.
- Carry out any admin tasks requested by Office Lead/Supply Chain Manager as requested to support the running of the factory.
Experience
- Capable of working with cross functional teams to deliver accurate consensus forecasts.
- Excellent computer skills and good command of Excel
- Exceptional analytical skills; detail oriented and well organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of demand management, forecasting processes in sales, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues.
- Knowledge of ERP System (SAP/Mes etc.)

- Knowledge of Dairy or similar food processing industry
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
