Role Profile
The Head of Marketing and Customer Experience Ingredients reports to the Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer and is responsible for providing direction towards the commercial growth strategy for the Ingredients Category by driving awareness and engagement with existing and prospective customers, unearthing new opportunities informed by market insight and developing tools and materials to service commercial activity and go to market strategy.
You are also responsible for delivering powerful market and competitor insights that result in actionable recommendations on portfolio and business strategy. In addition, you are responsible for any marketing campaigns, trade shows and promotions within the category.
The Head of Marketing and Customer Experience Ingredients is also responsible for defining and supporting delivery of Tirlán Ingredients Customer Experience (CX) strategy and targeting customer experiences across the Ingredients Category. You will bring the voice of the Ingredients customer to the table in developing business, category and channel strategies. You will be accountable for measuring customer experience across our B2B customers and continually improving on this by identifying improvement opportunities and directing multi-disciplinary teams across functions to deliver against these.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the Ingredients category strategies and create a marketing strategy that can facilitate the realization of category objectives
- Play a key role in the delivery of the business Value-add targets, working in coalition with Sales and Category teams
- Work with the Market Research & Insights team, and the Business Intelligence function to deliver market and competitor analysis, ensuring that data from all commercial functions of the business is being converted into analytical insights, with actionable outcomes that are executed at speed
- Translate market research, experience and insights and communicate this to R&D, Category and Sales teams to create an effective product portfolio to reach the target market
- Work with R&D to deliver clear messaging on ingredients benefits in Applications, that drives value with customers and enables Technical Selling
- Promote sustainability marketing as a tool to strengthen the sustainability positioning of the company while building customer trust
- Manage the Ingredients marketing budget
- Drive the development of insight-led recommendations to promote growth
- Deliver cut through Digital marketing initiatives for the Ingredients business
- Develop an overall communications strategy that includes content creation, public relations, trade show exhibits and direct customer contacts (Newsletter, E-Blasts, Presentations)
- Coordinate the development of the commercial strategy, driving the annual process together with Sales and Category Leads
- Market products and USPs through the delivery of sales toolkits and marketing materials to support volume and contribution targets and development of advertising and new branding/ product design
- Lead and champion the development of the Ingredients marketing team to improve capabilities and drive engagement
Requirements
- Prior experience in a leadership position, with evidence of being results driven, self-motivated and resourceful
- Proven ability to develop and strengthen teams in order to maximize profitability and deliver against category objectives
- A track record of successful B2B marketing experience
- High degree of creativity and innovation in the Marketing and CX context.
- Strong Influencing, leadership, & decision making skills with the ability to manage, influence and negotiate with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and manage short vs. long term views of every decision.
