Role Profile

We have an opportunity for a Business Analyst to support implementation of a Master Data Governance strategy, with a strong focus on SAP master data analysis, data quality control, governance assurance, and process improvement. This is a highly analytical, control-focused role working across business and IT functions to strengthen the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of master data.

 

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Quality

  • Analyse SAP master data to identify data quality issues, including missing values, inconsistencies, duplicates, outliers and invalid records
  • Perform root-cause analysis to understand if issues are caused by system configuration, process gaps, control weakness, user behaviour or data migration activity
  • Support data cleansing and remediation activity, validating outcomes through profiling, reconciliation and post-remediation checks

Data Controls & Governance

  • Analyse large datasets from SAP and integrated systems to identify trends, exceptions, control gaps, and data integrity risks
  • Design and maintain data quality controls, exception checks, and validation routines to support proactive master data governance
  • Support master data cleansing, remediation, and ongoing control monitoring across key master data objects

Analytics & Control Monitoring

  • Use SAP Analytics Cloud, BI, Excel, and other analytical tools to monitor data quality, control effectiveness, and remediation progress
  • Provide insight-led analysis on recurring issues, control failures, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve master data governance

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Information Systems, Accountancy or IT) and/or relevant experience and training
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working in SAP or enterprise data environments.
  • Proven experience analysing SAP data, interpreting table-level information, and identifying data quality or control issues
  • Strong capability in data analysis, profiling, cleansing, root-cause investigation, and governance control techniques
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability, with the ability to manage and interpret large, complex datasets.
  • Experience developing data quality monitoring, exception analysis, or control assurance solutions
  • Exposure to SAP testing, data migration, or transformation programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience managing large, complex datasets
  • Ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders
